Habs Fever

Montreal is currently in the grip on playoff fever and I have to say, I have become a fan again. I left the rink for the greener pastures of the rugby pitch and for a long time I was happy there and I guess I still am but it's hard to keep up to date with everything because generally we don't get a lot of nes on rugby over here. Most of the time I have to prowl the web and hang out online with South Africans, Australians or New Zealanders when I want to discuss the finer aspects of the game as well as the fine physical specimens many of the players are.
I would have to be a complete idiot not to notice the wave of enthusiasm surrounding the team by local fans and it's fun to dissect the game with friends and family, something I kind of miss out on with rugby.

Go Habs Go!

That "wave of enthusiasm " you speak of is seriously beginning to piss me off. Not to mention the countless sleepless nights it's inducing.

Look I'm not saying you shouldn't support the home team, and I actually hope they win, but if it means that night after night, in the coming weeks that their winning OR losing will cause countless numbers of total asstard nimrods to honk their horns and scream their lame-asses off WELL AFTER midnight, well, then, I'm gonna get me a gun and start picking them off from my rooftop.

Go Habs Go!

Oh Miister Kitty, I know. I too am all for getting nehind one's home team but I do agree about the honking. I don't have to even watch the game to know the outcome, all I have to do is wait for the honking late at night. Also, I am a little disappointed with our fans. I mean, who riots at the end of the first round of the playoffs? Some people are just idiots, I guess. Also, who chooses St. Catherine Street? Go where the expensive boutiques are, Sherbrooke at the least. Hello Holt Renfrew! ;)
