Now that I have a nice kitchen with ample space to cook in I began to think of all the culinary creations I could make in there. I also began to think about some of my favourite recipes, you know, ones that I have actually made in the past. Fasten your seatbelts because now I am going to share them with you!
Lyndy’s High-in-the-Sky Skor Bar Cake
What you need:
Devil’s Food Cake Mix
Eggs
10 Skor Bars
Clear Gelatin Mixture
Kahlua
Whipping Cream
Sugar (If you like your whipping cream “Sah-weet”)
There are a few variations of this recipe out there but I tend to stick to my own. I have made this cake so many times that I actually don’t have the original recipe any more, I generally just go by memory. It’s simple and oh so tasty.
First off, you have to make a chocolate cake. Any kind, you may prefer to make your own from scratch but I just do a simple ready-made Betty Crocker Devils’ Food Cake. You only really need enough to make one cake in two cake pans. When the cakes are finished baking and fully cooled and out of the pans you have to cut each one in two so that you have four layers.
It is then time to start making the mixture to keep in all together. Good times. So, you start by whipping up your whipping cream until it’s nice and, uh, whippy. As it starts firming up you then add some Kahlua. After that you then add a small packet of warmed clear gelatin, not a huge packet or anything, just enough for your whipping cream/Kahlua mixture. When the Kahlua cream and gelatin are mixed together it’s then time to start building your cake. More good times!
On the bottom layer you spread some of the whipped gelatin cream on the topside. Then crumple some of the Skor bar pieces on. Repeat for the rest of the layers. On the very top layer put the most cream and Skor bar chunks. Voila, you have a towering Skor bar cake! Look at you, aren’t you crafty?
I would make to suggestion to refrigerate the cake before serving due to the cream as it makes it much easier to slice after it’s been in there a couple of hours. Remember to have enough room in your fridge as past experiences have taught me that if you build your cake on a elevated platter then it’s going to be difficult to fit into a normal sized fridge that is packed with other stuff.

Sure, Sheen... If you ever come over. I mean, you can call and say you're coming over and then never show up a la Saturday. Hmmph.
No, no, I don't hold grudges... Tell me when you-a-comin' and I'll get it made.
